徳島コーヒーワークスさんの暖簾/ Noren at Tokushima Coffee Works

徳島市内のコーヒー店『徳島コーヒーワークス』さんの店先にかける暖簾をご依頼いただきました。

暖簾制作は『徳島コーヒーワークス 山城店』のリニューアルに伴うものです。創業祭や阿波おどりなど、ハレの日に藍染の暖簾を店先に出すお店がじわじわ自然に増えていけば、との想いで制作しました。

ISSO made three Norens for Tokushima Coffee Works, a coffee house in Tokushima City.

The production of Noren is for the renewal of “Tokushima Coffee Works Yamashiro Store”. We created it in the thought that stores/shops displaying indigo-dyed Noren in front of their storefronts on special occasions such as anniversaries and the Awa Dance Festival would gradually and naturally increase.

『徳島コーヒーワークス』、時間を経るごとにお店に磨きが掛かるのは、オーナーのセンスとともに、眼には見えない繊細な気配りがいつもあるからだと思います。店内のガラス窓から外を眺めると、コーヒーの香りと相まって、ノスタルジックな気分に誘われます。

店舗リニューアルの設計は、徳島市の内野設計さんが手がけられました。内野さん設計の、懐かしくもモダンな軒内に暖簾を添えさせていただけて嬉しいです。

I believe that the shop becomes more matured nicely as time goes by, because of the owner’s always subtle attention to detail, which is invisible to eyes, as well as his sense of style. Looking out the glass windows of the store, combined with the aroma of the coffee, invites a nostalgic feeling.

The store renewal was designed by Uchino Architects in Tokushima. We are happy to be able to add our Noren to the nostalgic yet modern eaves designed by Mr. Uchino.
